Tregonhawke Cliff,
WHITSAND BAY, CORNWALL
From the North - take the A38 to
Plymouth and exit on the 2nd Plymouth Junction (Manadon) – follow the signs to
the Torpoint Ferry. Cross the Tamar River on the Ferry (free to go to Torpoint
- £1.00 to come back).
From the ferry follow the A374 to
Antony, take the left turning to Whitsand Bay and follow the road to a T
junction. At the T junction turn left. Take the next right hand turn to
Tregonhawke cliff.
Follow this cliff road and after
passing the Freathy sign you will see a private road on the right - gravel lane
and a sign for ‘Cliff Top Café’.
Follow the road down past the
café, down the steps across the cliff path and at the bottom of the ‘meadow’
take the path heading down the cliff keeping to the left.
MuVuKoti is to the left of the
wooden steps at the end of the path.
From Plymouth bus station take
the 81B, which runs once an hour and stops at the top of the cliff path and
Whitsand Bay Holiday Park, above the cliff top café. Walk down the path and turn left opposite the café and then
follow the instructions (from the steps) above.
Buses No 81B runs between
Plymouth City Centre, Torpoint and
Mount Edgecombe every hour. A bus time table is available in the Chalet.
There are
frequent fast trains to Plymouth city centre, liking with the Bus to
Tregonhawke cliff from the adjacent bus station
The nearest Village for shopping
is Millbrook (approximately 2 miles) – Post Office, Spar, Co-op, Hardware
Store, Chemist, Greengrocers, Chip Shop, Petrol Station and Local Surgery.
The Cliff Top Café also has basic
supplies, and Whitsand Bay Caravan Park has a small shop (5 minute walk).
There is a regular bus service from the top of the cliff into Plymouth
City Centre
